The Smith NEXUS MIPS combines patented technologies and innovations, including the revolutionary Aerocore design with Koroyd, the MIPS insert, the unique Fidlock magnetic fastening system, and the 360-degree Boa system. The unique exoskeleton features a hybrid combination of ABS bombshell construction for enhanced zone protection, paired with an in-mold construction on the back of the helmet for reduced weight. Aerocore with Koroyd technology can absorb 48% more energy upon impact compared to conventional designs. In tandem with MIPS technology, it elevates the protective function of the helmet to the next level. Fidlock® offers a very simple and convenient way to fasten a helmet buckle. It can be operated with one hand, even while wearing gloves. To ensure the best possible fit for your helmet, Nexus utilizes the premium Boa FS360 tightening system, which wraps around the entire circumference of the head. The AireVac™ ventilation system effectively removes warm air from Smith goggles through 24 strategically placed helmet vents, complementing their advanced anti-fog technology. Inside the helmet is an XT2® antibacterial insert that can be removed and washed if necessary. Soft, detachable ear pads greatly increase comfort. A textile pouch is included.
